Stavros is a striking appearance with a lot of charisma! He is very nicely made and jumps excellently both in freedom and under the saddle. He shows a lot of balance, and a good canter. He is careful and jumps the obstacles with the greatest of ease.
He descends from some of the most wanted sires of the moment.
Stavros is a BWP-approved son of Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve, the Preferent stallion of the KWPN, BWP ambassador, who is currently very popular in breeding due to the great success of the offspring. Think, for example, of Tobago Z, who is doing incredibly well under the saddle of Daniel Deusser (GER). The maternal sire of Stavros is Eldorado van de Zeshoek, (Clinton x Toulon) who is the sire of Killer Queen VDM (Daniel Deusser), Grandorado (Willem Greve), etc...
In the third generation, we find the blood of Heartbreaker. He obviously needs no further explanation. Sire of so many successful horses and stallions, including our own Toulon.
Stavros van de Barlebuis took part in the stallion competition in 2022 as a 4-year-old stallion. He jumped all the courses in which he jumped clear. He started 2023 with the same drive and jumped clear in the first round of the stallion competition.
